It probably was mandatory but like I said it would have been pretty pointless for two people to miss the food and tbf to Nick it was a valid point that John probably needed the food most (along with Rita and James) because of all the energy they burned actually doing the trial

Yeah i think it was mandatory as well , just ashame Nick had to miss out . Awww at him making bean burgers though
