Getting "upset and stressed" about something actually isn't a waste of time. If no one got upset about anything we would cease to live in a progressive society. It's good that we can discuss things like this because that's how we move forward.

Personally I am against the argument that it should be removed/censored from the song. I also wasn't opposed to it in the context of this episode. However, context is everything. You can't tell people when they can and can't take offense to a word - especially when it has a deeper meaning that is specific to a marginalised group. And you certainly cannot frame it within passive-aggressive sentiments such as "There are enough letters in LGBT, we don't need to add more".

Just trying to explain that although something might not matter to you, doesn't mean you can just shrug it off as a non-issue~

Depends really. In cases like this, no progress needs to be made, there's nothing to fight against, no need to move forward. So getting upset that they sang the full lyrics is a waste of time.

People are free to do what they want - someone could call me a fag (never happened), before my physio took effect I got called a **** due to my walk... those were the choices of the people who said those things. The choices I had in return were:
- punch them in the face
- let it ruin my day
- not care.
"Deeper meanings" only have any meaning if you let them. I'd never tell someone not to take offence, I just think that maybe they should get a grip and not let the sounds an idiot makes with their mouth affect their day
