Default Jeremy Clarkson ITV and Amazon have halted his contracts

[Jeremy Clarkson: Amazon 'likely to part ways'
with presenter over Meghan column row

While planned series of Clarkson's Farm and
The Grand Tour are still set to go ahead this year,
Amazon Prime Video could cut ties
with the TV presenter following the
backlash to the column.
It comes after Meghan and Harry released
a statement once again rejecting
a Clarkson apology.

I'd usually say that genuine apologies should be accepted because if you don't give people a "place to go" when they apologise, they're just going to double down.

In this case though, reading what he's said at that link, I feel like he just still doesn't get it... he's suggesting that people only didn't like what was said because they didn't realise it was a Game of Thrones scene? Everyone knows it's a scene from game of thrones, that's not the point. That's like saying about someone, "Oh how I fantasise about a massive man-mountain jamming his thumbs into this guy's eyeballs and crushing his skull" and thinking it's only a problem if "people don't realise it's from Game of Thrones". What difference does it make where he got the "inspiration" from? He's still wishing the same thing on that person.

I'm also not convinced he's genuinely sorry. Sorry that he ****ed up two huge contracts, yes. Sorry that the people who work with him on his shows will have to find other work, sure. I think he's sorry he said it because of the fallout, not because he actually sees that there was anything wrong with it.

At least we're getting two more series of Clarkson's Farm.

It might have run its course after that anyway.

If they sack him from ' ... Millionaire' then I'll be able to watch it again.
Since I never have since they made him presenter.

Why he's anywhere in media outlets is beyond me.
I never have and never will like him.
So personally will never watch anything he's involved in, I just find him wholly sickening.

So I hope ITV get him off mainstream TV too.

Imagine if everyone who said insulting comments about Trump over the past few years got cancelled? Pretty much every celebrity would be on the dole queue.

Selective outrage.

Whatever Clarkson said, I agree with it. Come for me if you dare, cancel culture.

He like many don’t like Meghan…it was tongue in cheek humour…what she has done is far worse…

Same people who defend Clarkson's pig behaviour, are also the same ones who downplay Tate's latest controversy with the law .

Someone was blaming the sun newspaper for printing what Clarkson said, erm well what about the fact he still said what he said .... Hello responsibility . We all know newspapers . And I don't believe he's sorry .....he has always come across a bloke who thinks the world owes him, he's also a dreadful host on millionaire.

Personally, I've never liked him or his attitude ever since I first became aware of him many years ago now.

His last vile content was disgraceful and totally indefensible no matter who he was getting at.
It's no surprise the trashy Sun allowed it to be printed.
They are a pairing well suited.

His apology is only after all the backlash and him possibly being hit in his pocket.

I've never watched him on Millionaire so can't comment on if he's okay or not.
The ONE reason I don't watch it at all now is since he was made presenter.

He's someone for me who should have NO given media outlets whatsoever.
He's just a vile horrible individual in my view.

Clarkson is obviously popular or people wouldn't watch his shows and he wouldn't have been given the contracts in the first place. It's not like he didn't have previous form and the media were unaware.

I don't particularly like him, so I don't watch. It causes me zero stress and no pearls are clutched

I never used to like him much...I found him a bit arrogant. However on Clarksons Farm we saw him as a great personality with a dry sense of humour that not everybody gets.
Like I have said before I found his comment funny...but it was the sort of thing you say amongst friends who know you dont MEAN it and that its just his banter...

He's an awful host , and before the Meghan comment...I've been saying how useless he was , he just sits there and acts bored and has the charisma of a dustbin . When it comes to 'ask the host' ...if it's not about cars or something, he doesn't know the answer .

This is what happens when you’re vile to people for clout and then fail to take responsibility or accountability.

Pack that gammon back to market

The problem with Clarkson is that someone, a long time ago, told him his attempts at coarse humour were funny. That person has alot to answer for. I never liked Top Gear - just not my kind of show. He isnt funny. I cant stand Mini Clarkson Richard Hammond too, James May is OK though.

A lot of people told him it was funny, to be fair, it was pretty standard Council Telly a decade or two ago... he's failed to roll with the times, though. I'm sure he can get a show on TalkTV or one of those other channels aimed at ruddy faced blokes.
