Western apologists for Hamas should bear in mind that if they just happened to be in the region - maybe as a tourist or doing charity work or whatever - Hamas would see them as fair game for being a Westerner on Israeli land. And god forbid if you had a female partner, relative, friend out there with you. Your solidarity with Palestine wouldn't count for much then.

They make no distinction between combatant and civilian and use rape as a weapon. All part of the dehumanisation of Jews and Israelis which is obviously a recurring theme throughout history

No one is defending the heinous crimes, but they've been forced to live under the very events you're scenario porning.

You can't be outraged at your own extremely specific framing, then pretend these events have come out of nowhere. It's about the Israeli oppressive state, not about historic anti-Semitism. The pretense that these events happen in a vacuum is the most intellectually uncurious game of make believe imaginable..
