And this is my first full re-watch of Dexter and you're right, it absolutely damages their relationship retroactively. I am paying full attention to all their interactions and it's so brother/sisterly, I have such a bad taste in my mouth for what's to come. My son is watching it for the first time atm and I'm just waiting till he gets to that part for his reaction to it
