I disagree.

Jenas was an England international and if it wasnt for Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham etc would have played more for England.

As BBC employee I think he's on over 250k a year. He's not in the class of a Huw Edwards but a big enough personality for them to have backed him a bit more than they did.

Without doubt the biggest earner on the BBC payroll is Graham Norton but he gets most of his money from his show that is co-produced by his company and the BBC. The likes of Lineker also has his own production company that does "The rest is" series of pdocast so I think there are other who BBC salary is only a fraction of their income
