I loved Christian Slater too

Did you read the What Katy Did books too?

My mum always bought us books. I had a gorgeous set that were blue leatherette with gold leaf round the edges - I felt so fancy

Are kids books still the same these days? Feels like we've lost that sense of imagination and adventure that used to define them but maybe I'm just being a grumpy old bugger

You're probably right but technology and social media have caused a massive change from even the 90s

Oh, well. I just know that avid readers exist in every generation. I was one of them.

My son read avidly till he was about 12....he still reads now but mainly because I tell him too. Once the PlayStation got a grip of him he lost the will to read as much.

What age are you though? I'm not sure there will be as many in the generation that's under 18 now

Let’s just say I’m somewhere between 26 and 36. I’m not as old as some people here seem to think I am.
