I remember my Mum reading The Magic Faraway Tree to me when I was little. A very happy memory. I see Jacqueline Wilson has rewritten it. Can't imagine why.

My son read avidly till he was about 12....he still reads now but mainly because I tell him too. Once the PlayStation got a grip of him he lost the will to read as much.
