The thing that's ruining Cricket is the same thing that's currently ruining Football and F1, which is a lack of big personalities within Cricket.

I'm talking about current Cricketers and Footballers and F1 drivers having zero personality.

And tbf I get what you're saying to a point about the box ticking in general (not just with women) but my biggest issue personally is a lack of personality in our current Sports stars and Pundits, and again it's not just the women or POC like I know that some people on the Internet might suggest (and I'm not meaning you btw, Zizu) because Plank from Ed, Edd n' Eddy every Saturday is proof that it's not just the Political “box tickers" that are lacking charisma because he is a white dude.

Yeah sorry Zizu but that's nonsense that you need to have played professionally to commentate on a sport.

Lots of the biggest commentators have never played professionally (Motson, Clive Tyldesley etc) and neither have most football journalists. You often get better insights from non players tbh, ex pros speak more in cliches or just point out the obvious

Well my specialist subject sport wise is football and the female pundits talk absolute hogwash more often than not .. unless they are just recycling what their fellow ( male) pundits are saying ..

Karen Carney often says … “ well it’s as Wrighty was saying” or “ I agree with Gary “

Her own comments rarely have any substance


Call me old fashioned but if they are discussing attacking I want Wrighty , midfield Roy Keane .. defending … Gary Neville or Martyn Keown .., not Karen Carney who we’ve never seen play or some ex female player who managed to play 135 games over 15 seasons at a time when they weren’t even fully professional

Anyway I’m out … you lot are impinging on my greek holiday

All amazing drivers, all guys we got to see perform at elite levels .. now we have 3 women who could have been taken out of a queue at Tesco for all we know .

That's a fair point about Murray Walker, I'm probably just too used to Football and Tennis where most of the Pundits are ex-players of the game.

And I personally like Karen Carney too, I personally don't understand Zizu's dislike for her, if you're right about his reason then I do think that he is being harsh.
