Well all that would be fine and dandy if it was even remotely true..

I’ve discussed my private life , in some detail , previously and I have oodles of lovely lady ‘friends’ and not one of them would ever suggest that I am sexist ..

Granted we don’t ever discuss the roles of women in televised football ..

Nah it’s not his autism that makes him sexist, just that he is

Then again we will never know .. it’s pure folly to imagine that having to endure the stress and strain of being autistic hasn’t impacted negatively on my personality

I’m autistic yet I respect women. Can I say being autistic makes me a bitch? You got to own your actions, even if it is a bit to do with it

I agree with you personally.

The thing that's ruining Cricket is the same thing that's currently ruining Football and F1, which is a lack of big personalities within Cricket.

I mean this was the same Sport that at one time had Freddie Flintoff, Michael Vaughan, and Shane Warne participating at the same time, now they're all incredibly dull.

Those personalities are still there plus many , many others but the tv companies are now using relatively unknown ( certainly unqualified) females instead
I don’t know if its box ticking or they are cheap as chips to hire . .. maybe both

Alex Scott is a monumental box ticker… big personality, big social media presence , black , ex player , lesbian , outspoken ..

How many boxes do you need to tick. ??

Same with F1

Last week ( I may have uploaded a photo) there were 3 unknown women discussing the upcoming race .. one was obviously the host, one was an ex race technician and one was an ex pro race driver ( NOT F1 ) who was black, gorgeous looking but admitted to knowing NOTHING about cars … she just drove them ….

Here’s another occasion .. no ex F1 driver involved

It’s not just the odd post here-and-there, though, is it? It’s constant. It’s everywhere. It’s in threads that you’ve bumped for no other apparent reason than to spout more misogyny.

And people wonder why I get frustrated with you.

Nobody wonders that at all .. you get frustrated at the most incredible things - a momentary glance at the “ what annoys me thread “ is an eye opener

Taking accountability isn’t in his dictionary. It’s an alien concept to him that won’t penetrate. It always has to be his autism’s fault rather-than the fault of him, an autonomous being whose entire personality shouldn’t be defined by being neurodivergent (which is a very unhealthy place to be in if that is the case). I’m sure Ali from last year didn’t blame every spat she had with Marcello, calling out his misogyny, on her neurodivergence.

Dude, the job she's being to do is as a commentator and journalist. She has a degree in sports communication and a major in broadcast journalism and has been commentating on cricket since 2005.

In what world is she unqualified.

Interesting you don't mention you have an issue with unqualified male sports pundits though.

When even @Livia and I agree on something you know you've ****ed up.

Has she played cricket at the highest level …men’s test match level ?

No … end of

Remember the saying … those who can .. do
those who can’t… teach ( or lecture)

As to the male pundits… like them or hate them they have all played football / cricket ow whatever at the highest level PLUS we have all seen them play and know what positions they played and even how good they were ..

There’s not much ( if any) footage of these women pundits and even then it was at a pitifully poor level ( below our non league level) so they are not qualified to critique or criticise these elite premier league guys

When does that need to be a criteria for being a sports journalist. Do you hold other journalists to the same standard? Do you have to have worked as a Prime Minister to report on political news?

That’s exactly what you’re doing here. You think that your autism excuses your misogyny, rather than taking accountability for your fault and having the guts to own it. Nothing’s ever your fault. It’s always about your condition, whether people bring it up or not.

A man in his late 60s should be able to take some basic accountability.

She’s lecturing because she can’t play and couldn’t play at the highest level … oh and I thought person insults were frowned upon !

Oh and it’s pure folly to bring politics or politicians into this discussion given none of them are ever qualified for their given roles
