I really like Shakira.
Sometimes, live, her voice resembles a goat, But she's got some great songs, is totally stunning, (sometimes) is a completly great dancer (funky robot in "Shewolf" not included!), and isn't just another Alicia, Rihanna, Britney, or Christina.
