Britney Spears is a prime example of someone who gets by on looks; lyrics like that are meaningless, the image is all that matters. There's no way Shakira comes under that heading.

...considering Britney didn't even write that song? Britney has always been a ballad writer and I'm sure many people who aren't die hard fans would agree Everytime is one of her best singles - and she wrote that. It was also from the period when she was Grammy nominated (and won) so I doubt many people find her songwriting meaningless.
