Whats your summer songs?
I think we all have those songs that remind us of a summer.
I can only remember a few.
From 2006, 2008 And 2009.
Some of the songs are more than likely songs you listened to during that summer or songs that were released during that summer.
So heres mine.
2006

Chasing Cars, and Man Eater.
As Man Eater was released on the 1st of June 2006, and Chasing Cars on the 6th of June.
Man eater just reminds me of that summer tbh, it was such a warm summer too and that song was always on
Chasing Cars, also because it was played alot and of course any song that was used during the BB Best Bits will always go down as a memoriable song from that summer.
2008

One Day Like This, Meccano and Thats not my name are the summer songs of '08 for me.
Thats not my name, was very popular and it actually just reminds me of T4 On the beach from that summer.
Meccano & One Day Like This, were both played in BB9.
Meccano was played on Stuarts best bits, and its amazing everytime I hear it now it reminds me of BB9.
Elbow's One Day Like this, is the same as im sure you all know it was played on the Season's Best Bits, which actually was after Summer (5th September) but it still reminds me of that summer because it was on BB.
2009

OMFG theres alot.
So, Jai Ho was released in February, but it was always played on the telly during summer '09.
Never forget you, was released in June and I seem to remember listening to it constantly in summer basically.
'When love takes over' is easily one of the best songs I've heard.
Its strange because it was over played so much in Summer that I hated it but now it brings back the memories and I love it.
And of course' Poppiholla' is an amazing song, it is such a summery song and even though summer 2009 was rain most the time, There was still alot of sunny days and that song reminds me of them, I am still pissed off 'Poppiholla' wasnt even used as the Best Bits for BB10 tbh.
So theres my summer songs of the past few years.
I will put up a poll just for fun, and allow you to vote on which of those is your favourite.
