Men go to clubs to chat up women for all sorts of reasons, I never said anything about going to clubs to meet women specifically to "find love". My point was I find it difficult going up to complete strangers and striking up conversations. I feel easier and more myself speaking to people online. Besides it's easier dealing with rejection.
When you move 300 miles to a new area and don't know anybody these sites are a good way of making friends, getting dates, finding love and so on.
