Everything Davina done except BB has failed. The embarrassing chat show, her disastrous stint on Radio 2 sitting in for Ken Bruce, that awful sitcom etc. She's been living on borrowed time for a while now. This is the final nail in the coffin.

I'm only counting terrestial TV. I could mention that she did a show called the END - apt title - on MTV about 15 years ago or Gods gift but I was trying not to bring up her horrendous early work.

EDIT: AS for million pound drop. Talk about dumbing down. That show is her level now but a few years ago she'd never have looked at such rubbish.

She used to be one of the main faces of ITV doing things like Popstars The Rivals, Don't Try This At Home, Streetmate (C4), The Vault, Stars in their eyes as well as presenting big things like The Brits and Comic Relief. She was also meant to replace Fern on This Morning but turned it down because she didn't need the money. Thats not bad going for someone whos shows all fail

She hasn't done much in the past few years because she hasn't needed to, she gets Ł1m a year for BB. Its no coincidence that when BB gets axed, she suddenly gets the dancing show on Sky and Ł1m Drop

You're right ten years ago she was hot but for the past 5 years she's gone downhill. She even left John Noel cuz she was not happy with what he was getting her and felt Russell Brand was getting preferential treatment but even with that the only thing she's landed is a dance show on Sky. Other than BB her work isnt much to shout about.

Now you're just contradicting yourself, if she was hot property then clearly she must have done something outside of BB, and hosting BB is hardly anything to shout about anyway you can't really go much lower

You include the likes of streetmate when naming her success. Do you consider these shows to be high up on Davinas CV. Her CV reads Big Brother and not much else cuz there aint much else.

I agree though, hosting BB is as low as you can but that just shows how dire the rest of her work is. She'll be remembered for BB.

She also has a nice steady income with her fitness DVD's. She probably has a fair old wedge salted away for a rainy day.

No doubt she wont be signing on for Jobseeker's allowance if she didnt ever work again.

She may still be in the running for This Morning as apparently Holly isn't very happy (she misses the folks on X Factor) and still has a year to run of her contract.

Well why on earth are you only counting terrestrial TV when pretty much everyone uses digital now? The fact one of her altest successes is on a digital channel hardly demeans the triumph.

And regardless of your personal opinion on MPD, the fact still stands that it was a big success for C4 and Davina, therefore proving that everything she has done outside of BB, is clearly not a failure.

Terrestrial TV is the benchmark for viewing figures. I dont see too many shows on sky getting 10 million viewers every week.

MPD is dire and will probably end up in an afternoon slot. Thats not much of a success.

MPD got Channel 4 their highest viewing figures in three months. In fact I believe the only show on C4 to have beaten it's ratings since, has been Big Brother. Seems like a success to me.

And to be honest, I don't see many shows on any channel getting 10 millions viewers other than X Factor.

They plugged the hell out of MPD had it on LIVE for a week, got their most recognisable presenter and it still gets beaten by BB.
