MPD got Channel 4 their highest viewing figures in three months. In fact I believe the only show on C4 to have beaten it's ratings since, has been Big Brother. Seems like a success to me.

And to be honest, I don't see many shows on any channel getting 10 millions viewers other than X Factor.

They plugged the hell out of MPD had it on LIVE for a week, got their most recognisable presenter and it still gets beaten by BB.

But you can't ignore the fact that it was a success for Channel 4, their second highest rated show of the year and has just been picked up by an American channel. It's a success for Channel 4, that much is undeniable.

Lets have this discussion in a years time when MPD is on in the afternoon with repeats in the early morning. Thats where that show is heading.

Channel 4 can barely scrape a million in ratings at the minute, they're hardly gonna put their biggest show on in the afternoon.

MPD belongs in an afternoon slot maybe as a lead in for Countdown. Thats where it'll end up.
