Most have been through 11 seasons and more counting the CBB (or TBB or whatever), and, So for most viewers its been plenty to be as fully saturated and see all the possible twists and turns before it lost its novelty and became less intriguing. Now there are a lot of hardcore fans on this forum so not quite the same but even I admit it may be time. Yes, for you its a new thing, a new discovery and that is awesome, but, there aren't so many first-time or new viewers to make up for the 'seen-it-all' regular viewers turning it off or actually just 'less intrigued' Quote:
They spend a lot of time studying the trends and ratings and projections etc and they just realized that they would be better spending their time and money on something new. Really, this was obvious in BB9's season. BB9 was absolutely brilliant, extremely well produced. I think it was their 'masterpiece' and it had many unique, clever, novel tasks, ideas, combination of characters, etc YET ....to my surprise ratings were still rapidly declining on that season! They did try to blow up into crazy Jeremy Kyle (or Jerry Springer) with BB10, blew away all kinds of rules, threw in whatever gimmicks they could think of and not only was it an ugly season but ratings again... down and down. So this isn't really in doubt. It's not a real question so much as simply what happens. They do need to make money. Its business. Quote:
It's better to go out now than let it wither and die a slow ugly death. Quote:
The strange thing is you seem well aware of the seasons, which seasons did what, how the series progressed throughout the years, yet, just started at this season? |
