It's always the least offensive contestant that wins and that pretty much always means not the most interesting. He's gonna struggle to keep up intrigue and no one will care by the time his performance rolls around next year.

Male winners never do well or last long and I doubt Matt's gonna buck that trend.

tbh I would quite like if he got back with his band after his contract is up, they now have a great platform to work from. I listened to some of their songs on youtube and I really liked them
