What are the most overrated films that you have seen?

The Social Network is a recent one that springs to mind. Definitely not Oscar worthy in my opinion.
Also Michael Clayton bored me half to death.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Se7en, maybe the Godfather but that's only because it's so highly rated, it's still a great film

Chinatown. It was good but from what I'd heard I'd expected it to be amazing.
The Royal Tenenbaums. Again, it wasn't that it was a bad film but it wasn't anything special.

To be fair to The Social Network it was good, just not as good as I was expecting it to be. Maybe my expectations were just too high!

I still can't get over how painfully slow The Deer Hunter is! A real disappointment!

I thought Jack Nicholson and that woman were utterly utterly fantastic in it, but it just wasn't what I was expecting.

Well, It's been a longtime since I saw it, I was pretty young too when I did so I think I probably found it more scary then If I'd been older!
