Somehow both Jedward and Bieber make certain groups (mainly young/youngish males) feel threatened in some way. Yes, Jedward can be annoying - nobody can doubt that. But there people with FAR more annoying traits and we don't seem to get quite as worked up about it, do we?

And yet there are plenty of celebrities with just as much money or more than Jedward who I do like and don't find annoying.

How do you explain that one?

Because you perceive them as having got something for nothing? I.e. plenty of dosh and plenty of teeny-adulation for what you regard as minimal or non-existent talent.

Just to be clear, I am only trying a little amateur psychology here - not to pīss anyone off.

I just feel there must be a reason why people not only don't like them, but go so far as to wish positive harm on what appear to be two quite decent harmless (if rather eccentric) individuals. That's all.

If you read what I said I am interested in that it goes beyond mere "dislike".

Even allowing for the sort of OTT sentiments expressed on here, some seem to positively hate Jedward and wish them harm.

I do not wish any of the HMs harm. Not one of them, either in this CBB series or in any other series of CBB or BB.

NB: I am not a "Jedward fan". I feel pretty neutral about them. But the sort of sentiments expressed about them on here are little short of disgusting sometimes.

They are adults and Im pretty sure their money goes into their own bank accounts at their age.

Do a little research and you'll find you're pretty wrong! The money will be paid to their management company in the first place.

Anyway, I seem to have touched a nerve with my suggestions that Jed-hate, as opposed to mere dislike, might be rooted in envy... or something akin to it.

I do not need to research anything. Common sense tells me that two working 19 year olds have their own bank accounts with their own money in it.

No not really, well I dont think they're particularly talented if that's what you mean but neither is Amy and I like her

And no I don't think there is any underlying, subconscious reason as to why I don't like them, I just.. don't. I find them irritating, I think they act far younger than they actually are, and they're having a lot of the show focus on them when I'd rather they gave more camera time to other housemates.

I really don't get why a lot of Jedward fans seemingly find it incomprehensible that anyone might actually dislike them. I'm sure there are some housemates in there who you don't like; you have your reasons for that and I have mine for not being keen on Jedward. Amateur psychology and accusations of jealousy really aren't needed.

It seems though perfectly alright for Jedward haters to jump on every thread as to Jedward and bait the Jedward fans while also not having to 'equally' accept that some people also like them.

I do like them, I state what I like about them, I also though on here get regularly ridiculed for that and I think that is wrong.

I have been grouped in terminologies like mindless tweens, nuts and of no taste whatsoever regularly by those who hate the boys. I do none of that to others and their likes and dislikes.

I am in no way silly, desperate, a mindless tween, nuts or anything else like those terms and I should 'not' be thought so for the simple act of being a fan of Jedward.
People even came onto their fan club thread to tear them to pieces,which I have to say immediately to your credit you did come on and remind them that it was a fan club thread.

I agree people should be able to express their views either way but they should do so without attacking the fans who are members here also.

That all off my chest and I will be slated likely again for saying it,I will now again clear off and as Zippy is able to say about me, Thank God that's shut him up!!
