Oh one other place would be the multi denominational place of prayer in hospitals they were often called chapels, think they are now "quiet" rooms or some such rubbish.

As well as getting clipped on the ear coz I wanted to attend wearing a pair of very 'trendy' lilac coloured flares with a multi coloured tank top - and told my gran God didn't care what I wore - as long as I went.

I learned very quickly that what God cared about, mattered less than what SHE cared about....... - via a rather brutal scud on the head courtesy of the auld dear!
