It's not THAT simple - they have to hire editors and a compliance team to make sure that everything that goes out is legally sound - they can't just broadcast the studio feed online. And they'd need to hire additional equipment/resources to handle the streaming of 24/7 live video to thousands of viewers.
Not that that they're excuses of course - Channel 5 have the money to run a public live feed (by their own admission).
