Only if they came up with a new system that worked, i would much rather prefer a British Cup instead of the league cup where all Scottish and English league teams are involved, and it would make so much money for teams who desperately need it in Scotland and vice versa in England if League 2 sides got drawn against Rangers or Celtic away, Competitive matches like Rangers v Man United and Celtic v Liverpool for example would make so much money, and i can't imagine many people being against that if it replaces the League Cup and Scottish league cup

I've been in favour of a system similar to that. The league cup is a farce which is far too similar to the F.A cup without the excitement of non league teams.

I've always thought to make it regional up to a point and then north and South and then British wide to encourage higher end Scottish teams to get far in the competition.

For the Scottish clubs I imagine it would be better for their season to have the prospect of playing English giants.

Yeah, fans, players and the clubs are just becoming less and less interested in the carling cup as the years ago, The Swansea v Bradford final was a massive joke

it's a shame that Scottish football doesn't have anywhere near the same limelight as English football because there are so many good british youngsters breaking through at the minute, Gauld, MacLeod, Forrest, McKay, Mcgivern, Watt, Paterson, May and Armstrong

Is that a joke? I dont think those matches would be very competitive TBH.

This on paper is a great idea but logistically it too much for the leagues to try and achieve. I think it would be better for Scottish football but I dont think Ranger or Celtic would finish in the top half of the premiership.

Can't we just release Rangers fans in Manchester for 2 weekends a year and forget this silly idea?

Why do you think that? Would just make the Scottish leagues even worse surely by removing the only two teams of real strength and all the money they bring in
