So where exactly are we drawing the line at when you can and can't bring up someone's criminal past when they're dead? Are we remembering Adolf Hitler as a German politician not a genocidal maniac, Myra Hindley as someone's girlfriend not a serial killer, Sergei Magnitsky an accountant not a tax evader? Like I said, I don't think it's appropriate to insult the dead but what, are we supposed to pretend that all dead people were perfect human beings and only eulogise select parts of their personality and their life? All people are imperfect, that's what makes us human - I think Jim was completely out of order but facts are facts, Linda's husband was caught stealing.
