Despite the whole mess of Stacey's return, they wrote her into the corner with the killing Archie storyline and then her exit so I do like how this is tying up loose ends with Janine, who was involved in that and plus delving into the Michael/Alice/Janine situation so it sorts out both issues.

It will all be over soon and I really can't wait to see what they have in store for Stacey when she is back for good and settled on the square, but she does leave again for two months (the duration Lacey Turner is filming ''Our Girl in South Africa''.

But the current story doesn't have anything to do with killing Archie so she'll forever wallow in that corner. The only way they've "sorted" that plot out is by having Bradley blamed (already happened 3-4 years ago) and having Ronnie not care (which also happened around the time of her first exit).

It's all about Janine falsely accusing Stacey of stabbing her. Which, anywhere else, is easily proven.

Yes, but the Ronnie thing makes sense because they have always got on. I thought Ronnie would react differently tbh now she is back in a darker mood, but they both hated Archie and were the two people who seemed to only care about Danielle before she died.

Bradley wanted to take the blame though because he loved her and she said in the episode in which it was just her and Max that she wished they never ran away that night.

And yeah I agree about the stabbing because Janine is not a reliable witness, they should have arrested Stacey and then let her go because of no evidence or declare that Janine lied, which would have sorted that issue out.

Yes, what I'm saying is that they didn't need the current return story to write her out of the corner of being a murderer because her return story has nothing to do with that.

I'm saying they already wrote her out of being wanted for murder in her first stint.

It's not so much that Janine isn't reliable but more that forensic tests can determine she stabbed herself. That was why I found the Mercedes similar story daft.

That episode was epic. Janine walking into the pub was amazing.....then the swerve character turn to being nice.....and the final act of turning evil again....

Also loved how she told the kids not to rule out a comeback....it was like she broke the fourth wall to tell us haha
