You've shown that you're not the easiest dog to train. You're set in your ways and will have no other way about it. You dislike unwanted interference from others and will respond aggressively when required. You're stubborn and alert even with those who care most about you, but you do have your affectionate side when it's really needed.

Although I think Basenjis are the "barkless" dogs which might imply they / we build up a lot of things internally without being able to express it...I certainly have a long fuse, but I have one hell of a bark once the fuse touches the powder
