..I don't know whether Bill Murray will be nominated for an Academy Award for this but I hope that he is...he is stunning and perfect as 'grumpy old' Vincent. The cast in general was perfect and very likeable..Melissa McCarthy as Maggie and Naomi Watts as Daka, the 'lady of the night'....but obviously the main focus is the relationship between Vincent and Oliver which is extremely touching...it has the perfect balance of humour and serious moments and yeah, I did cry toward the end when Oliver paid his tribute to him...ok, probably just a typical 'grumpy old man' type movie but really endearing and just very 'feel good'...

This was a wonderful film and loved watching it. The cast was perfect, I thought Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy and Naomi Watts were brilliant. The little boy was lovely and liked him with Bill Murray. Funny in parts and a sweet ending.

8/10

In a way it's really on par with Boyhood...

I mean the structure's pretty predictable... unlikely friendship, grumpy man we don't know really well, suddenly good friends, great highs winning that bet and a fight, sudden crash to earth, realisation of Vin's wife's condition, boy's mom in all sorts of trouble, fallout of the main characters, and then slow but sure return to happy ending

But the performances were really fantastic, I hope Murray is Oscar-nominated for this, at the very least. I was happy to see McCarthy in a role other than her typecast (loud obnoxious messy woman) and she was really great in this, and the kid's one of those rare, likeable, not-annoying child actors Also loved Daka's character.

And the story was really sweet. Will definitely be buying this on DVD/bluray when it's out, it was just naturally affecting and made me laugh/tearful in equal measure

Just a really solid film, well acted by all and just very entertaining despite the cliche set up.

I hadn't really been expecting this to be so funny, Bill Murray's character was hilarious. So many great performances as well from pretty much the entire main cast, I think Naomi Watts' was my favourite though, wouldn't have even known it was her if I hadn't seen her name on the IMDb cast list. I think my favourite scene was just after he had the stroke and they were showing him the pictures and he was supposed to say the words, and the picture was of a tree and he said "money", and then the next one was of a fence and he said "you broke my fence too". Have got a feeling this will get overlooked when the Oscars come around but hopefully it doesn't.

This was bloody marvelous. Bill Murray was spectacular in the role and it had a charming feel. Naomi Watts was in it as well and I pretty much love everything she does, what a goddess.

Didn't think it was that laugh out loud funny but pretty humorous throughout the whole thing, good feel good film with a nice story though fairly predictable and didn't feel that original. Naomi Watt's character must have been the best female character I've seen in a comedy for ages

Looks like people are starting to lose interest now so I think it's time to pull out the christmas flms.

Niamh came up on the randomizer too, so her choice
