I honestly don't feel Perez is anywhere near as bad as many make out. He is a narcissist, he is loud, but he is not a malicious individual. It's not as if he sets out to annoy and insult people, he's just ignorant to others and winds them up as a consequence.
I can see why the house would be annoyed by him but the amount of hate he received was extremely over the top. You can tell his heart is in the right place but he just needs to turn the volume down a bit and let others have their say.
