What surprised me most at the time was actual voters. Conor managed to survive many evictions in a VTS, and beat people who were less horrid than he was.

How he got 80% to SAVE, against Shievonne remains one of BB's Biggest Mysteries, IMO.

That's the one time I was motivated enough to vote. The diabolical result ensured I won't bother again.

It shocked me too, especially since Ireland were unable to vote back then. I thought that was where all his votes would have come from but obviously not.

I assumed it was down to a combination of Conor's teenybopper fanbase who are willing to let anything slide if they fancy someone enough, and Shievonne getting increasingly argumentative and moody (which we know aren't traits often forgiven by voters in female housemates).

Such a horrid result, though. I like to think Conor would have left the week before had it been a vote to evict.
