The royal family reaped what they sowed with Burrell. He always did and still does fawn over Diana yet they tried desperately to screw him over and then panicked when they realised he could disclose things they wouldn't want people to know. Why shouldn't he publish his memoirs? What makes him bound to eternal silence over the royal family because he was their butler? It's no different to dozens of people who write autobiographies and memoirs which reveal insider information that the public were previously ignorant of. By all accounts he could have revealed a lot more than he did and been a lot unkinder.
