FFS here we go again, gay issues, homophobia, why does it always have to be about these issues. Its getting very boring to here this PC crap all the time. Live and let live and treat both gay and straight as one. Gays don't need a platform, they can look after themselves, its the straights I worry for when you look at the totty in there, they are all evil in different ways.

I don't care about his sexuality, he just really annoyed me last night by taking over everything.
He greeted every celeb that came down the stairs like it was his house.
I get the feeling he will dominate every night like this.

I got annoyed at his fawning too and the predictable giving himself up for the box, then you just knew he was going to take the gruel for himself, ....playing the hero card on launch night is a no no with me

He has been on a lot of the BB best of shows & seems to know how to get the attention.
I just find him totally over the top.
I think he has a nasty side to him too.
I felt sorry for Darren being locked up with him.
I wonder if they gave him ear plugs

I don't get how him being nice, for whatever reason, would bother someone? He had two choices chose someone else or chose himself and the guy who volunteered, the choice he made gets him out of making anyone annoyed with him, where's the problem in that? He has to live with these people after all

Got to agree Sam, BB is not about straight or gay ,its about PEOPLE in a house ,goes too far all this gay/straight bs ,and its bloody boring ,spoils every series of the show ,can folk just class them ALL as PEOPLE and not segregate them ...Thank you

I agree, so this thread would have come across alot better imo if it had just been "Johns innuendos" rather than "Johns Gay innuendos", don't you think?

I just think it's unnecessary to add it in there, like, if people have an problem with innuendos I get that but when you add in the word Gay it automatically makes it more about the fact that the person is gay rather than the innuendos themselves, similar to saying "she's a bitch" or "she's a black bitch" it changes the whole meaning of the sentence for me.

I see where the OP is coming from. I've known a lot of gay men around his age behave very similarly, putting on a show about their sexuality. I think it has a lot to do with them growing up and discovering their sexuality at a very difficult time in history for gay people. So to be able to be openly gay, and show pride in it, is a much bigger deal to guys in their 40's/50's than it is to younger guys. And so I think that his innuendo's etc, are just his way of trying to show that he doesn't have to hide his sexuality. That's my theory anyway. It might be grating and annoying for other people, who may not have had the same life experiences as John, but I think I can understand why he does it.

I don't know if I'm looking into it too deeply, that's just my thoughts on John because he reminds me so much of guys around his age that I've known. Sure lots of people enjoy innuendo, regardless of sexuality and age etc, I know I do too lol, but when it's excessive (with some guys, you literally can't get a sentence out with some form of innuendo ) I think there are definitely societal reasons why that is.

Yes he does loads for that charity Chuff and that is why I want him to do well,not to win as you say( but wouldn't be pissed off if he did) but so want him to do well as people are really nasty about him for some reason.

I didn't watch the series of X Factor he was in but I had heard of him, the fact he sold a story to the papers about someone who was supposed to be a friend of his makes me dislike him some what but I'll keep an open mind till I watch more

Don't know anything about a story being sold Niamh,but as they say there are two sides to every story so I will read into that , but the fact he raises money for my chosen charity is enough for me to like him

His claim to fame wasn't his performance on X Factor, it was the dogging he got from so called friends but his constant riding on the back of his Gran didn't do him any harm and he is supposed to be a right Diva. I cant see it myself, he is too nervous to plan such a strategy. He is a normal but very insecure individual with very little to offer other than his persona and his charity work. Should he be slated for that, well who knows, more importantly, who cares. He is a very small fish in a very big pond and no doubt he will be swallowed up very soon, especially if he gets on the wrong side of anyone. I cant love or dislike him, he has very little to like or dislike.
