I don't want to make a seperate thread on this as its quite a shallow observation...but what has he done to himself?

I don't watch Eastenders much, but I swear Cristian used to be rather attractive and...rugged.

John now looks plastic and odd.

Unless my tastes have just changed dramatically in a few years

I read somewhere that he lost 3 stone due to the stress of his mothers illness

..yeah, I read that as well, about his weight loss and his mum has been suffering from Alzheimer's for a few years now so it would make sense...yeah, he is quite OTT and full on sometimes with his emotions but I have no idea if he's genuine or not, if it's just his way..?..because I've only ever seen him as Christian in East Enders and never seen him interviewed or anything....
