I think China are pulling away slightly from NK however China have their own issues with the US over the south China sea.They've had standoffs in the past in that area.They are currently having an economic/media/internet war.
However Kim Jong is full of wind.He's trying to flex his muscles again.It's debatable whether NK has a missile which could reach US soil yet.They would probably attack SK or Japan and US would start by sending supplies in by air.When NK was weaker then the US would go in,finish the job and claim victory.
