TBF most terrorists have mental health issues, its not an excuse. They are still terrorists.

This is true of the vast majority of successful "Muslim Terrorist" attacks, though. Lone wolves who are a bit barmy. They carry out their attacks "in the name of" whatever but most are acting alone or in small groups, not as part of or under the direction of a larger organisation.

ISIS has called on Muslims worldwide to kill the infidel in any way they can. Yeah, most of them are mental... but they still answered the call, so claiming they are acting alone is contrary to intelligence gathered by all the security services where attrocities happen.

It shouldn't be used as an excuse to suggest that he wasn't in control of his own actions. His mental health issues weren't driving the van; he was.
