I don't think I am, given the interview I watched concerning this scheme on the news this morning.

It's about bed blocking, ergo getting rid of the patients who don't need to be in hospital, but sometimes remain there a little longer than necessary because they don't have anyone to help them out at home, especially if they're recuperating from an operation or something. This usually pertains to the elderly.

No, I too don't find that many people, even if they do live in isolation and struggle to care for themselves, would like the idea of living in some stranger's house no matter how short term. But that is the idea behind the scheme anyway.
