So with every vote I'm receiving the tie just seems to be getting bigger (now 16 people with 3 nominations. )

If the tie isn't broken by Sunday I'll consider setting up an extra "mini" round of sorts which will last 24 hours to fill up the, what is currently three, spots in the Top 50, where you'll all be able to vote for three of the tied members, and those with the most votes will receive a spot in the Top 50.

Let me know what you all think of that idea though... I just think a Top 63 is a little excessive.

Yeah. I think I'll have a look through older MLs to see if I can find anything on what happens if there's a tie, because this cow forgot to do her research... x

I have seen that approach mentioned somewhere actually, in a previous ML... I'm not sure about it though, because there are several reasons why someone may not vote straight away, such as personal reasons, not seeing the thread (even though I bump it often enough!) or just not having time.

Since a lot of people are saying that they're going to vote last minute I'm hoping that by Monday, it won't come down to this.

I have been lurking and watching this thread with great interest as I am a housebound old lady who was bored until I found TIBB.

I don't really understand how these things work as I am 93 years old and they didn't have things like this when I was a girl.

However, dearie, I think that to break the tie dilemma you have, you should award the oldest nominee an extra 100 points.
