So, I had a bit of a nervous breakdown... I've got a doctors appointment tomorrow at 4:10pm so hopefully can be diagnosed and get some support. I'm gonna go back to writing more often, it seems to help a lot

....awwww, Scarlett......it’s a huge, huge thing to start a new job and be so uncertain because there is so much that you’re uncertain of and unsteady about ...and you’re work colleagues aren’t familiar yet....at any time, it’s such a nervous and anxious time for any of us..?....but with your confidence probably at one of its lowest times because of your redundancy and your emotions have probably been so conflicted and confused as well, with such ranges of shock and anger, plus a sense of loss as well...but this hasn’t been just ‘anytime’ ...there’s been COVID as well, which has been the most scary time ...but you’ve felt the safety of your home around you ...so now, going back to work and a working environment again...is jus a huge step...

...you’ve recognised your crisis, which not everyone does, but you have...?...and you’re taking steps to control that crisis by going to see the GP, which is the best thing and will help you take those steps forward from here, which would be so difficult for anyone, they truly would.....and you know I’m always here if you need someone to be here......

..it came to a head, you gave it leeway to do that ...and now you feel ready to say...ok, let’s sort this out, enough...and the GP is the first step and you’re taking it...you’ve already begin your journey to feeling you again and feeling so much brighter.......

...the emotional is becoming physical as well for you now, Scarlett and obviously it does impact our physical health...but you’ve started to take control by making that GP appointment today...I’ll be thinking about you......without getting this new job, you may have continued on a down journey, so good things always come, as well in hopefully a journey to brighter days......

I talked with the doctor, and they've prescribed me some medication and given me a sick note for Universal Credit, I told them how writing helps me calm down and they said to continue doing it

...Scarlett.....the beginning of your journey to recovery, I’m so pleased that you recognised how you were struggling and you made that appointment with your GP straight away...that was such a brave thing and you took that step to your days becoming brighter..everything that’s happened to you in your life this year..?...has been so very difficult for you and would be for anyone...your emotions have been completely tossed and tumbled and your confidence has taken such a blow..then, starting a new job was a huge, scary thing...and I think maybe, more baby steps...?....and spending some time doing things that will help strengthen you and build you again, things like your writing...

...just take your time, yeah...you’ll take each step when you’re ready and feel emotionally steady enough, having small goals is good as well...this is your body’s way of telling you it needs to take a slower pace ...your redundancy was forced on you and was a time filled with anxiety and worry...now it’s the thing to take some time for you, without those worries and anxieties.....

...yeah, you really do, Scarlett...and you’re not alone ...I know it’s a different situation and not because of redundancy... but I know so many people who have very anxious times about returning to work in September...you’ve had layer upon layer and now it’s time to gather, as you say...and work on trying to remove some of those layers that have been so scary and confidence shattering.....

......I think that it can also help to make personal goals as well, Scarlett...so that when you do feel ready to take small steps forward ...?...a sense of achievement and the uplift that will bring will help contra what might have felt more scary...because you’ve achieved a goal, which will make you feel stronger to do that, you know...?..
