I'm kinda reluctant to post this but seriously even though these are mostly a decade ago they're pretty disgusting and disappointing. Appreciate she wouldn't still think this but she was in her 20s when she made these tweets. I'm surprised BB didn't realise and she still made the show

Edit - I won't post them all but there are numerous tweets that have been revealed now which are disparaging to various different communities. We're talking dozens of tweets here across many years

Digging up decade-old tweets is almost always more cringey and embarrassing than the tweets themselves.

That said, people have been getting "cancelled" over that sort of thing for people entering the public eye to have some basic opsec, to the point where it's her own fault.

I don't necessarily disagree, I read it elsewhere and really wasn't sure whether to repost it but did so because:

- it'll probably blow up a bit now it's out there
- people have been ejected from the show for historic tweets
- it shows BB didn't really comb housemates social media properly
- even though they're old she should still take accountability for it

Very unfortunate, but not surprising. People who cling hard to anti-Racist dogma as an explanation for society's ills are the first to perpetuate their ideals towards other races and cultures. (Basically they're not anti- at all...just indoctrinated)

I agree with Oliver, that she should not be ostracized for it and it's her human right to share controversial views. But again, a reminder we should never post things we would never want to be recirculated in the future. ANd also that Twitter is still a cesspool even if it's been renamed. And also, there's no such as privacy online.

The first one is recent enough to be relevant. I'd say the others are just really bad decisions in the past, but because of the first, it's now all in question... anyway, it's not that much of a shock to me.

Yikes.

When it comes to twitter maybe she's a "fire and forget" type. Even if she changed over the years and no longer thinks that way, you'd thihk she'd prune her old tweets.

She's too intelligent and there's been too many recent consequences for her not to know they'd come to light. Which makes me think, unfortunately, that she may still not see the problem with them

There are actually more disparaging tweets about Asians on there as well including the use of the word 'chinky'

I believe she has developed a new understanding of Chinese culture and people due to Yinrun which is good, but yeah if the posts are true then eek. Surely if you’re going on TV you’d delete your old tweets like that? (Can you do that? I don’t have twitter)

Also surprises me these came out a day after she’s evicted. You’d think whoever brought these to the attention would have done a few days ago to ruin her chances.

…I think that I read that one of the conditions/rules for the housemates was that their social media accounts had to be shut down for the time they were in the house…?…so nothing would be accessed until Trish was evicted and it opened up again…?….


…(..if it is Trish’s account and not anything fake…)…then it would also be…BB have said that they’ve checked social media, I’m pretty sure that I’ve read that also…and are aware of any tweets…and knew that this is something that wouldn’t be revealed until after that housemate was evicted…?….it kind of isn’t a great look for them, either if they haven’t done the checks that they’ve stated they have…

But I remember saying in the past on here that Trish backing Yinrun always felt to me like she was making her more a 'project' for herself rather than a genuine friend. This vindicates that gut feeling I had. But yeah it's a great shame.
