I sit thinking stuff like that all the time...

How am I thinking this, how does my brain work, am I real, how come my brain knows I am thinking this, are we just part of a big dream etc...it goes in circles over and over for hours, and then i feel like i am going to pass out...

Exactly. HIs theory was based on doubting everything. JUst like the OP here. HE is saying that in his dreams, he has similar experiences, as when he is awake. WHich make him conclude that he cant really say for sure, if he is awake or asleep. So he doubts that anything is real. SO after thinking to himself that its possible that nothing really exists, the only think thats for sure, is the doubt in his thoughts. And those doubts and thoughts, are the only think that proves, that he really exists: Which make him conclude: I think therefore, I am.

Descartes also uses that theory to prove the existence of god. Another story.

I always thing there is something on earth that can change somethine for ever, but no one has figured it out yet, and its possible no one ever will. And i always think about how it would take us 1,000,000 years to travel to another galaxy/world but I wonder if they are like 1,000,000 years ahead of us? If that makes sence

I seriously do believe we will be at war with robots in like a million years or something, that is given that we arent all wiped out by the 'aliens' that are searching the universe for us,m the same as we are doing for them.

I mean seriously, people are obsessed with the idea of aliens, but there is bound to be something else out there, that is likely to be as obsessed with finding us, as we are with finding them, which will happen first?
