We need Julie Chen!

I hope BB12 follows BBUS's format. BRILLIANT.

Oh seriously? I have never disagreed more with a post than I have with this.

What the ******?

Julie Chen is a ugly robot who can't present to save her ******ing life.

BBUSA is the biggest piece of sh*t.

BBUK is entertaining and our format is the best.
No way should be adapt into the American way.
We're not American.

She's not a 's**t' presenter. She has hosted US TV for over 14 years. She isn't a robot, she just doesn't need to do a lot of moving around on BBUS. She's not ugly either. We're not American, but their BB has lasted longer than ours, must say something.

Also, Julie is un-biased, and isn't comedic or crude behaved. She can carry out an interview properly without being all like 'I love them, so I hate you' like Davina. I have nothing against Davina, but her time has come.

The last few posts in this thread are making me laugh so hard

Anyway, whilst I agree with the OP - there is still something about her that I love. And to me she is an essential part of the show. It wouldn't be right without her.

If BB is renewed on a nw channel, it will have to be different.

i Imagine it will be like the brazillian version, like a hyrid between the original dutch version and the new pioneering American version.

I can't imagine they'll keep it the same.

eigther way, i doubt they'll keep the cackling ****oid davina. no way no how.

What's the Brazillion version like?

Mmm I do like the same format but seeing as though it may go to channel 5.. it will have to be different.

I hope there is a different production team etc.. and a new producer.. I heard PEJ has quit anyways!!

Someone who will have the power to choose GOOD housemates.

it's exactly like i just said. halfway between the dutch and american versions.

they keep the public vote, but they also have HOH and POV's, and more control by the housemates. and they embrace the game aspect of it more than the dutch/Uk version yur used to.

I do like it more as a game.. with tasks and that. You have to be competitive and in it to win it!!

Anywho whatever happens to BB.. I will still be watching.. whatever the format

Julie Chen is a newsreader our equivalent would be Fiona Bruce which is about as far removed from Big Brother as you can get

Everything Davina done except BB has failed. The embarrassing chat show, her disastrous stint on Radio 2 sitting in for Ken Bruce, that awful sitcom etc. She's been living on borrowed time for a while now. This is the final nail in the coffin.

I'm only counting terrestial TV. I could mention that she did a show called the END - apt title - on MTV about 15 years ago or Gods gift but I was trying not to bring up her horrendous early work.

EDIT: AS for million pound drop. Talk about dumbing down. That show is her level now but a few years ago she'd never have looked at such rubbish.

She used to be one of the main faces of ITV doing things like Popstars The Rivals, Don't Try This At Home, Streetmate (C4), The Vault, Stars in their eyes as well as presenting big things like The Brits and Comic Relief. She was also meant to replace Fern on This Morning but turned it down because she didn't need the money. Thats not bad going for someone whos shows all fail

She hasn't done much in the past few years because she hasn't needed to, she gets Ł1m a year for BB. Its no coincidence that when BB gets axed, she suddenly gets the dancing show on Sky and Ł1m Drop

You're right ten years ago she was hot but for the past 5 years she's gone downhill. She even left John Noel cuz she was not happy with what he was getting her and felt Russell Brand was getting preferential treatment but even with that the only thing she's landed is a dance show on Sky. Other than BB her work isnt much to shout about.

She may still be in the running for This Morning as apparently Holly isn't very happy (she misses the folks on X Factor) and still has a year to run of her contract.

Well why on earth are you only counting terrestrial TV when pretty much everyone uses digital now? The fact one of her altest successes is on a digital channel hardly demeans the triumph.

And regardless of your personal opinion on MPD, the fact still stands that it was a big success for C4 and Davina, therefore proving that everything she has done outside of BB, is clearly not a failure.

Terrestrial TV is the benchmark for viewing figures. I dont see too many shows on sky getting 10 million viewers every week.

MPD is dire and will probably end up in an afternoon slot. Thats not much of a success.
