Of course
but due to the near star
they can see that its like
our Earth and the Sun.

It would be un wise to think we are the only people
in the Universe, just because we can not space travel fast.

Pretty much everyone on earth was religious, or at least professed religion. To do anything different at that time meant certain torture, and then death.

Sorry, Greece is the rock upon which western democracy is built upon. the word itself stems from the Greek philosopher Democritus. You need to re-read what I wrote, too. I didn't say Christianity was responsible for our ills, but I merely stated that we'd be much more technologically advanced now, if it wasn't from the Christian dark ages.

This point isn't even up for debate as most Christians also acknowledge this fact. To do otherwise is to ignore history and facts in equal measure.

There was a time we didn't know what gravity or evolution was. I wouldn't cling to these gaps in our knowledge base for too long, as religion has found itself marginalised and in retreat for doing the exact same thing.

Well if that is a real alien then how come it looks exactly like how we expected them to look like (e.g. on movies)

It is human arrogance that we think that we are the most intelligent species ever in the universe - Look at our treatment of animals and plant life. I would expect other intelligent life to have that same prospectus of themself.

firstly thats a ridiculous assumption to make? at whose expense? Christiantity has been used as a moral and legal doctrine for 2000 years. without it, where are the checks and balances, who is to say whether technology can charge on regardless of who it harms or excludes? more bomb testing perhaps? Talk of forgiveness, enlightenment, redemption, love they enemies etc is visionary now, let alone 2000 years ago. Clearly you see it as a force some bad and for holding back humanity, whoich explains your tacky name and moniker, I see it as the exact opposite. I think your posts on the subject are narrow and closed minded, the very thing of which you accuse Christians

You call it a gap, I call if life. theres an enormous gap between your gap and actual life. Youre the one marginalised and in retreat.

What is a ridiculous assumption to make, and why? Again, "at whose expense," what?

Christianity was used as a moral and legal doctrine for a dark period in human history. They are called "The dark ages". After that period came a period called "the enlightenment". This was where free thought began eventually creeping in and led to the push back against Christianity. These are all verifiable facts. I suggest you use google, or research in places other than "answers in genesis".

The rest of your post leads into an incomprehensible mess. But I managed to garner a couple of points I can address quickly and simply.

I have no issue with the philosophies of a Palestinian man crucified by the Romans. However, He said nothing revolutionary even for that period in history. I'll give you it was revolutionary in that region, but many of the teachings assigned to Yeshua the Nazarine, were spouted by another ancient philosopher, known commonly today, as Buddha. Oh, and Buddha was born nearly 600 years before Yeshua. There are also numerous other examples of these teachings from way before a baby was born in a manger.

Whether you think I'm narrow minded or not, doesn't change historical records and facts.

There isn't an enormous gap at all. I guarantee within your lifetime, scientists will have discovered how chemistry can turn into life.

it doesnt change your perverted interpretations of religion either.
Youre anti christian rambles are so hate filled they fail to offer the remotest bit of common sense. You even completely the entire point of celebrating jesus life. You decide to take a tiny piece of time in isloation rather than in the context of the time. Honestly Youre posts on religion are so shallow its embarassing. No doubt it gets cheap laughs from drunken atheists, but even theyd be wonder what on earth youre talking about the moment they awoke.
I believe in Christ and his values and principles, I also believe in science and I see absolutely no contradiction whatsoever. Even those who do not believe him to be the son of God can at least say his life , his teachings had a profoundly positive influence on humanity and was the bedrock upon which our entire legal and moral framework is based. The fact some war mongers tried to pervert his teachings, just as evil men pervert all things to meet their own ends, doesnt change for a moment, the greatness of Jesus Christ. truth is eternal and you can talk about fashion and science and the fickle changes of fortune, but age cannot wither nor custom stalke things of infinite truth and beauty! that include timeless values. You can mock as people like you always do, you just dont get it, some principles are not for sale, even if the world came to an end , the values are infinite.

..this wasn't meant to be a thread on religion...

..which is something I would never make because it's becoming the most uninteresting subject ever...I guess there's just not enough interest in discussing the possibility of alien life forms...

..oh and I also meant to say that 'alien face' in the aurora Northern Lights wasn't meant to be taken seriously..the question was whether you personally believe there are advanced alien life forms and do you think they are a threat to us...
