What is a ridiculous assumption to make, and why? Again, "at whose expense," what?
Christianity was used as a moral and legal doctrine for a dark period in human history. They are called "The dark ages". After that period came a period called "the enlightenment". This was where free thought began eventually creeping in and led to the push back against Christianity. These are all verifiable facts. I suggest you use google, or research in places other than "answers in genesis".
The rest of your post leads into an incomprehensible mess. But I managed to garner a couple of points I can address quickly and simply.
I have no issue with the philosophies of a Palestinian man crucified by the Romans. However, He said nothing revolutionary even for that period in history. I'll give you it was revolutionary in that region, but many of the teachings assigned to Yeshua the Nazarine, were spouted by another ancient philosopher, known commonly today, as Buddha. Oh, and Buddha was born nearly 600 years before Yeshua. There are also numerous other examples of these teachings from way before a baby was born in a manger.
Whether you think I'm narrow minded or not, doesn't change historical records and facts.
