I don't think Foals really mentioned they sampled the Lemonheads (they didn't steal it though) and I still like their song, just like the Foals one better

Erm, Salman is completely right. Everyone is being complete snobs, we're just giving out opinions. Then saying comments like -Preparing self for complete retardation- or whatever it was. That proves you believe your music taste is superior to everyone elses.

My only contribution to this thread. There are many inspired samples but I would argue that none of them are better than the original. I dont think thats snobbery I just dont see the point of saying one or other is better. I also dont see how clipping a few seconds of a track and looping it with more modern production techniques can produce something better than an original composition. Thats just my own personal opinion.

Definitely my final contribution to this thread. I've finally found a track where I think the sample is better than the original. Its still a close one. Two great songs but t he PM Dawn vid is one of my fave of all time so I think it gets the nod.
