I agree, the pact was ridiculous, but i understand why Chris and Ashleigh went along with it. It takes energy to have a confrontation, and if they'd questioned the pact they'd have been slayed and called selfish by the others, much easier to just go with it, it's what i would have done

..yeah, I see where any of them went along with it...it has to really be an 'all' thing but historically those pacts have been meaningless and I doubt any would be totally true to it...

Making a pact to me has bad vibes and i suppose people that want a pact are trying to control the outcome to get what they want, i don't understand why Winston came up with the pact, as i'm sure he thinks he's going to win anyway!

what do you think? does this illustrate a deeper issue regarding these 3 housemates personal moral code and does it make them more untrustworthy? or are they simply less trusting of others?

would it have been more acceptable if this 3 had not agreed to the 8 way pact in the first place?

are mark and ash less in the wrong because they claim they would split it 8 ways, but chris said hed split it 3 ways in the diary room then later denied that and said he would split it 8 ways ?

what a mess
A very interesting question and my thoughts are that all three did wrong.I am unsure RE Chris and Ash's real motives but imo Mark messed on all as unless I misunderstood what he said then his reason for taking it was that the 5k he already has would not be enough to start his business but 20k would be.So this implies that he was not considering sharing with anyone.?

I think the pact was a bad idea and was always going to cause trouble.Chris understood this at the time but as usual spoke his mind to BB instead of with the HMs.

Would Ash of shared ? I think so but selectively which would have also broke the pact.

A good BB task but none of the three who took come out of it with any credit imo.

As it is a game show and it is every man/woman for themselves then no I don't think it was morally wrong.

However the way Mark and Chris were so obviously disingenuous was very telling.
So pleased Chris was busted, lying beggar.

I don't think Chris was "busted" at all he wasn't even allowed to tell them what his thinking was as everyone was so busy shouting over him - given he "earned" £10k of that pot by getting put up for eviction I think he had the most grounds for taking the money in the first place. Mark would have spent it on his brow bar and Ash would only have shared it with his cool gang mates. At least Chris did it as part of the game and knew it would have interesting repercussions. So on topic no it's not morally wrong it's all part of a game.

I have to say I was shocked when mark took it, but what he actually said was he had 5k for his brow bar thing and another 5k would mean a better brow bar and then he wud share the remaining 10k between everyone. Im sure that's what I heard.

Chris said he would only share it with Christopher and Ashleigh.

Ash I have no idea wot he would have done.

Chris is morally wrong because he planned to keep it for himself or share it with the Ice Maiden and the Weirdo.
