Like lostie said, it's a number of reasons. I hate pack bullying, it's one of the worst forms of it and literally make me feel sick.

A bully likes to have a collection of admirers who will back them up when they've chosen their victim. Pull the ringleader down and the rest will scatter.

Whilst I abhor bullies, I also despise those who hide behind a bully.

..yeah, this I think is often true with 'pack bullying'...if someone is unpopular within a group then it can be 'cheered' on to bully them, whereas it would probably be the complete opposite 'pack' reaction for someone who was deemed popular...

... bullying I do think though needs some understanding as well because it often also comes from confusion/lack of understanding and a general feeling of 'chaos' within a person, as in learning difficulties etc and the frustrations and anger caused with that, which is really felt with themselves but projected outwards...

..not always, no...not when it's a young child who is doing the bullying because there will be reasons why they are doing it and that would be the absolute worst thing that you could do...it's more helping them to understand how their actions and words have affected someone else and how they've made them feel../learning empathy...

you can do that if you want, verballytelling them they are wrong calmly and assuredly in front of all their mates is the best way to show all those around them too that bullying is idiotic. my concern is for the bullied and those who support bullying. it must be stopped. you can work on the bullies mommy issues in private if you so wish. the bullies are not my concern

Yeah, people who just stand by while their "friend" treats people like crap are just as bad.

I think manipulation is the worst type of bullying, people who are ignorant or thuggish are in the main unintelligent and raised by similar. It's those who use situations and others to their own advantage, they are the worst type of bully.

..they're not 'mommy issues'..many diagnosed mental disorders in children will produce 'bully behaviour' because of their frustrations in their inability to understand the way that other children do..that frustration will often lead to anger issues and bullying type behaviour...it's important that these things are recognised and addressed and a child be helped so that, that bullying behaviour stops...not just for those subjected to their bullying but for themselves as well...so that they can learn to 'control'...children on the autistic spectrum and with OCD especially, often become 'fixated' on another child and with that fixation will bully...you yourself have often expressed concerns about mental disorders and the lack of understanding there and some bullying does require some understanding to be able to help stop it...and also for children/'child bullies' to be helped with something that they can't actually help themselves with...

The easiest way for a short person to make him/herself appear taller is to shove another person into quicksand.

The only way for the victim to stop being pushed down into the quicksand, is to break the arms of the bastard who's doing the pushing down.

And if the victim isn't physically able to break those arms - a baseball bat swung from behind one dark night will get the job done fine.

Online bullying by way of intimidation, threats and blackmail I would say is a bigger problem than physical bullying today.

Yes.

It's hard to fight back online... You're completely on your own and they can say anything they want...

Cyberbullying is more likely to lead to suicide than Physical bullying. It needs to stop.

and? the main concern is to protect people against these vile bullies. get these bullies off the streets out of the schools and lock them away with shrinks until they are 100% safe to be put back into society. the first and last care is for the public and the bullied, the bullies themselves are the last priority on the list

even if he or she is bigger show them if they hurt you, you will hurt them, whether its morally physically financially, socially , psychologically etc etc they must be hurt back before they stop. the best route is simply to go to the head teacher imo and your parents, DONT SUFFER IN SILENCE
