Bit bloody warm for a jumper. Just wear why you are most comfortable in and have fun xxx

I think if you wear what your comfortable with you're not compromising with who you are, but if you want to make effort because it's a nice place, I don't think it's a bad idea to dress up.
I'm a firm believer that you shouldn't care if you fit the environment of the restaurant (unless they do have a code), and if you can pay your bill at the end then who cares. So go with what you want to wear, and what you think looks good. Have a lovely night. |

I didn't see this until now, I would've wished you good luck if I did
How did it go Amy? How did you decide to dress? In my opinion, there's no "perfect" way to dress, as long as you've cleaned up well and you're comfortable what else matters? Obviously first impressions matter but some people prefer someone who gets really dressed up and some prefer people who dress casual - but most would only really care that you made an effort (and I'm sure you look fab effortlessly anyway )

I went with jeans and my french connection jumper on. He was nice and paid but I didn't really get on with him much I found him too nice almost.

But tbh I read this whole thread thinking "that place is smart casual" and now it's important that you tell us whether or not your choices were correct. Who cares about the date; what were the other patrons wearing?? |
