Well we do let religious people become politicians.
We can’t exactly ban all Christians,Muslims and Jews from politics now.That would be seen as discriminatory. People with views like JRM are in the minority these days in Parliament so he’s going to get out voted on topics such as abortion,gay marriage etc.Also he’s said that just because he has personal religious beliefs it doesn’t mean that he wants to force them on everyone. I do enjoy watching him eloquently dismantle his opponents without so much as a raised voice or a creased jacket. |

He is entitled to his views, nobody is saying he isn't but that doesn't mean he is beyond criticism.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions and everyone else is entitled to their views on that opinion. That's how freedom of speech works. |
