Someone up thread quoted a Top comment from some Newspaper saying that these riots are the fault of the EU because of the border issue which is ludicrous and so un-self aware. There has to be a Border somewhere if you leave the EU, there has to be custom checks, that either has to be in the Irish Sea which is going to anger Loyalists or between the ROI and NI which not only would anger Nationalists and people from the ROI but would break the terms of the Good Friday Agreement, this is why Britain opted for the former and here are the results, only the start of the results I unfortunately believe

And all this, just because the public was convinced to eat **** so that the rich can have a tax break, because that's what brexit comes down to really, it's not about making things better for the country, it's all about making things better for the rich.

I agree that things will only get worse, it bothers me that the actions of our country is having yet more effects on Ireland.

He didn't go back on his word, he was lying from the off. What he promised was never even close to being realistic, and he knew it.

Everything I've said about Brexit has been proven true, and I'm not saying that because I think I'm some kind of sage, but because it was always obvious. Just so a few easily offended white folks didn't have to hear Romanian or Polish in the local supermarket.

Now we're willing to sacrifice the lives of other British and Irish people to make sure that Daves xenophobia isn't challenged. When you turn policy over to the far right and farage you will always get what you pay for.

Unfortunately this was predicted so long ago, Alf, that a brexit-supporting, writer for the far right spectator saying it's not true, really doesn't cut it.

The UK have so far treated the border in the sea as something fluffy and not applied any controls because they know what will happen if they do. The EU however, are taking the UK to court over it, so they aren't exactly helping irrespective of all their word salad saying differently

Unfortunately the crux wasn't his politics, it was the fact that this was seen years and years ago, so pretending it isn't reality, in the midst of what is currently happening is weird.
