the reality is that it will always be around 50/50 on peoples views with anything relating to the EU. My own feeling is that people have enough things to worry about in their lives in these times and very specific details that are agreed with the EU are now way down the priority list unless it relates to immigration

Honestly the Tories and Reform risk making themselves look quite ridiculous with their sensationalist rhetoric every time the EU comes up. Everything has to be a 'surrender' or a 'betrayal' when all we're doing is working with our largest trading partner to make things easier for businesses. Most people are sick of it - the referendum was nine years ago. Let's move on

Indeed. Added to that, I would say a large portion of people who once supported it realise Brexit was a mistake. It would be ridiculous not to try and mend much of the damage it's done purely because people were misled to voting for it years and years ago.

We should absolutely call for another vote. We do it with the Prime Minister every four years without that being called a 'risk to democracy'. What's the difference?

It's very unlikely to tbh because food prices are driven by a load of factors. At best it will ease inflationary pressure but that would only mean prices rise slower not actually go down

I think, I don't know obviously, however from my talking to those who even voted leave, that some of them want a change of direction.
This could well be a wiser plan and move from the government.
I myself make no secret that I think he should go much further.
I said earlier I'm more with the LibDems and Greens on this, including even the SNP too.

Perhaps, hopefully for me, it will gradually come that Farage is seen for the more bigoted division creating only individual that he is.

There hasn't been much to applaud so far in the last 10 months but the India deal and now this change in tone to the EU by this government, that I do applaud and I do think this could do Starmer and the government good, and expose the more prejudice only of Farage, Reform and also unfortunately the Conservatives under Badenoch's terrible leadership.

I'm still not sure on the USA deal or whatever that is.
It can never be sure that Trump will stick to his word on very much.
So that deal? while I welcome it, may not be a lasting one unless all in the UK keep running up Trump's backside too.
