And that point, for the sake of drilling it all home, is that soldiers die. Therefore, joining the military takes some amount of stupidity if you are going to willingly take up the risk of denying your friends, family and self your life. However, the military won't be lost because stupid people will always be there to join it.

It's Darwinism in action. Smart people of the world join hands and stay at home. Your parents don't want you dead.

It's an interesting question you've posed though Stephanie. I wonder if there's a special place reserved for the ignorant or the ones who were deceived into fighting for a cause that they believed was just?
