That post explains it, I think.

I thought he was a girl when I got him, so I called him Mollie, as I quite liked that name. When I took him to the vets for the first time, the vet made me grab his balls (without buying him dinner first), so I realised he wasn't (I'm not a medically trained vet in case you're wondering!), but then I thought it would be funny to keep him as Mollie, although why cats need gender specific names to begin with says more about us.


*Can I just clarify that the vet made me grab the cats balls, not his.
